![]() ![]() Octave is easily extensible and customizable via user-defined functions written in Octave’s own language, or using dynamically loaded modules written in C/C++, Fortran, etc. It has a powerful mathematics-oriented syntax with built-in 2D/3D plotting and visualization tools. Octave provides extensive graphics capabilities for data visualization and manipulations. Most Octave programs are easily portable. We can also write non-interactive programs and scripts. Octave can be used through its interactive command-line interface. It provides capabilities for the numerical solution of linear and nonlinear problems, and for performing other numerical experiments. Octave is much similar to MATLAB. GNU Octave is a high-level interpreted Scientific Programming Language, primarily intended for numerical and scientific computations.
